We open our 2024-25 season with pianist Ilya Poletaev, who is hailed as “one of the most significant pianists of our generation”, and the only Canadian pianist to ever win the prestigious International Bach Competition in Leipzig. Ilya made his ERS debut in February of 2023 with the Trio de Montreal and we are thrilled to welcome him back; this time in a solo piano recital.

The Winspear Centre and the ERS are pleased to present this year’s Tanya Prochazka Memorial Recital. Former ESO concertmaster, Martin Riseley will be returning to Edmonton from New Zealand to perform alongside Edmonton favourite, pianist Stéphane Lemelin. They will be joined by ESO principal cellist Rafael Hoekman.
This concert will take place on the main stage of the Francis Winspear Centre for Music. The audience will have the unique experience of sitting on the stage near the performance!
