Meran Currie-Roberts is a multi-talented artist who enjoys a successful career as a cellist, teacher, and administrator across Canada.
Former Dean of the Manitoba Conservatory, she is a member of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra of Edmonton as well Executive Director of the Health Arts Society of Alberta, bringing hundreds of concerts to elders in care annually.
Meran made her solo debut with the Edmonton Symphony in 2020. As an orchestral player, she also frequently appeared with the Calgary Philharmonic and Winnipeg Symphony Orchestras and is sought-after by organizations including Jeunesses Musicales, Edmonton Recital Society, Festival of the Sound, Elora Festival, Summer Solstice Festival, and the Colorado Music Festival.
She received her B.Mus and M.Mus degrees from the University of Toronto under the tutelage of Shauna Rolston.
