This season’s Emerging Artist is Edmonton‑born oboist Eric Davidson. Now in his second year at the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, Eric is quickly establishing himself as one of Canada’s most promising young musicians.

Summer 2026 marks an exciting milestone in his rising career: he will compete as a finalist in the Norma Hooks Young Artist International Oboe Competition, and make his debut at the Verbier Festival in Switzerland.

We are delighted to present Eric in his first ERS recital, joined by Edmonton’s own Leanne Regehr on piano. The future is bright for this exceptional young artist.
